We believe that this will be a good investment.
First, Bulgaria is emerging from the scourge of Communist misrule. It is moving towards being a liberal democracy. At the beginning of 2007 it joined the European Union. It enjoys good rate of economic growth – between 5 and 6 per cent per annum. The European Union has been behind some important infra-structure projects. There is usually some correlation between economic growth and movement of property prices.
Second, Bansko does have one important advantage over traditional French Swiss or Italian alpine resorts. It is much cheaper. A ski holiday will cost about one third of the cost. Accommodation is cheaper. The ski passes are cheaper. The ski hire is cheaper. And the food wine and beer in the town’s taverns may be had for a song. We think that costs conscience Europeans will continue to flock to this resort in ever increasing numbers. The experience will be every bit as enjoyable as going to the more traditional Western European resorts.
Third, one important infra-structure project should boost the appeal of the resort. By 2008 the motor way from Sofia to Bansko will be completed. This will mean that journey time from the capital should take no more than one and half hours instead of two and a half.
Fourth, the resort is being developed to accommodate demand for accommodation. However, the municipality of Bansko has recently announced that it will not be granted more building permits on “regulated” land. This should mean that the essential character of the resort will be preserved and it will not become blighted by over-development. Our development will be one of the last to be completed.
This will make the resort more easily accessible to other Europeans. The flight time from London is three hours. The motor way will continue to Northern Greece. Perfectly possible to ski in the morning and head for the beaches on the Adriatic for the afternoon.

Fifth, the skiing seasons is longer than in western European countries.
Sixth, unlike most ski resorts there should in the future be good chance of summer demand.
Seventh, we have seen a number of apartments marketed in Bansko on the basis of “being a short mini-bus journey from the gondola”. This means they are on the cheaper land further down and it is not possible to walk to the ski lifts. We do not think any one who has skied will welcome having to wait for a mini-bus. With our development you or your guests will not have to.
Eighth, we are offering a quality product. We will not compromise on any aspect of this building. At the end you will have a ski apartment every bit as charming and well constructed as anywhere in Switzerland and at roughly one quarter of the price. Facilities:
